Our highly flexible, sterile wound dressing is constructed with natural alginate fibers and then infused with calcium ions to create a healthy biological environment for optimal healing and wound drainage. After the dressing makes contact with blood or fluids, the gel then creates a seal over the wound to protect it from bacteria. These fast-gelling dressings are incredibly soft so as not to damage delicate tissue surrounding the wound. Algicate+ dressings are suitable for use under compression bandages. . .
