The Mepilex Border Sacrum Silicone Foam Dressing effectively absorbs and retains exudate and maintains a moist wound environment for optimal healing. This unique, five-layer, bordered foam dressing absorbs, channels, and traps exudate. The Safetac technology layer seals the wound edges, preventing exudate leakage onto the surrounding skin which minimizes the risk of maceration and is atraumatic to the wound and surrounding skin on removal for ease of use and patient comfort. This dressing can be left in place up to seven days, depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or as indicated by accepted clinical practice.
