This set of bandages can provide a treatment for 1 week instead of several treatments per week, as the four-layer compression bandage system works as a 7-day procedure. It provides 40 mmHg at the ankle and decreases pressure to 17 mmHg at the knee, with more decreased pressure at the calf. With effective pressure, layer one consists of a tan, self-adherent bandage which is the sterile wound covering layering to absorb blood and exudates. Layer two consists of a light compression bandage, layer three is the light conforming bandage that provides the leg and foot with flexibility and comfort. Layer four is the padding bandage that applies pressure to any swollen area. Layers are 5 1/2 x 8 inches, 4 inches x 4 yards, 4 inches x 3 yards and 4 inches x 2 4/5 yards.
